Ok guys. I have some exciting stuff happening! Pending I can get the two days off I would like to in the month of April, I will be traveling in March for one weekend and April for about four days.
March: I will be headed to DC!
For those of you who missed it, I booked a random flight to DC to hangout with a fellow blogger.
It was a impulsive decision that I am most supportive of. When I told my parents, I more or less came to them with my laptop and said, “The first weekend in March I’m gonna be in DC.” They looked at me like I was crazy for a minute and then said, “Ok. Just be careful.” Finally after I moved to Ireland and traveled to as far as Jerusalem, Israel by myself, they have come to the conclusion that there isn’t much stopping me. There is only letting me do my thing and wishing me well. Thanks parents! 🙂
April: Pending I can get time off in April, I will be heading over to Arizona.
I sat on hold with the company in Arizona that takes you to the bottom of the Grand Canyon for over half an hour all to find out that the weekend I wanted to go was booked. In fact, they were booked until June 29th. That was the earliest date they could accommodate adding one person to an already existing group. Moral of the story? If you want to go to the Grand Canyon, plan WAYYYY ahead. Well, if you want to get to the bottom of it and stay in a super cool lodging and stuff. You can always just go to the Grand Canyon and you can always hike yourself down, but to ride the mule and/or spend the night inside the GC not in a tent, plan ahead.
So what am I going to do in these places? A whole lot of who knows!! But that’s the exciting part! DC is going to be more or less a “Let’s see how much I can see in 48 hours” and Arizona will be a chance for the to actually explore the state. Last time I was in Arizona, I was there with the Auburn Football team and saw a whole lot of the hotel. Because I was working, I was unable to enjoy what the state had to offer. Not this time!! I will go check it out!
Those are the two big trips planned. As of now, all of my money is being funneled to those two adventures. Hopefully a good weekend getaway will pop itself up randomly and I’ll be able to take that.
Until next time!
