Beach Life

Irish weather is notorious for being crap right? I mean, it’s May and the temperature has only his 60 like, twice. Maybe. May back home sees conformable high 70s and low 80s with almost no humidity.  The air hasn’t yet succumbed to the sticky gross tropical feel it assumes June – October. Ireland has seen some absolutely beautiful weather lately though. Temperatures stay in the mid 50s with blue skies, a warm sun, and a cool breeze. It’s been nice, but I’ll tell you what I really want more than anything.

I want that beach life.

I want crashing waves.

I want to feel the sun warming my skin.

I want to be sitting and be so hot that I’m sweating.

I want the smell of tanning oil.

I want to bite into juicy watermelon.

I want my freckles to come out.

I want to feel the white sand between my toes.

I want to wade in the ocean and let the waves push me around.

I want to lay in a lounger all afternoon sipping on a Coke.

I want to play a game of beach volleyball.

I want to get weird tan lines.

I want to be with my family or friends goofing off.

I want to eat fried red snapper.

I want to see the long brown beaches of Jekyll Island.

I want to bat away the seagulls from my food.

I want to close my eyes and listen to the sounds of waves and laughter.

I want to smell the salt in the air.

I want have to rub aloe all over my roasted self.

I want to not have a care in the world.

I want to think about going to the pool but staying by the water.

I want that beach life.
